Brain TuneUp is a brain‑training app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
Local app data
- No account is required to use the app.
- We generate a local anonymous app identifier and store it on your device so the app can keep progress tied to this installation.
Gameplay and progress data
- Game sessions and results such as game played, score, level, accuracy, reaction time, and completion time.
- Local progress data such as daily free plays used, unlocked categories, streak-related activity, and goals.
- Locally calculated stats and insights based on your game history on this device.
Purchase/subscription information
- Purchase status needed to unlock Pro features, such as product ID, store/platform, status, and expiration.
- Payments are processed by your platform store. We do not receive your full payment card details.
Ads and analytics data
- For free users, the app may request and show rewarded ads, interstitial ads, and rewarded interstitial ads.
- We log app analytics events such as screen views, gameplay events, subscription events, and ad lifecycle events.
- These events may include technical metadata such as platform, placement, product ID, and error state.
Device storage
We store app data locally on your device so the app works without an account or a cloud sync requirement. This may include your local user ID, game history, daily access state, unlocked categories, local insights, goals, and a cached subscription entitlement state.
How We Use Information
- Provide core app features such as gameplay, local score saving, local progress, and insights.
- Enforce free-play limits, rewarded category unlocks, and Pro entitlements.
- Maintain and restore subscription access through Apple App Store or Google Play.
- Measure app reliability, feature usage, ad delivery, and subscription flows.
- Improve the product and troubleshoot issues.
When We Share Information
- Platform stores. Apple and Google process purchases and may provide subscription status needed to restore or confirm Pro access.
- Analytics and ads providers. We use Firebase Analytics and Google AdMob in supported builds. Those services may receive app event data and advertising-related request data needed to provide their services.
- Legal/safety. We may share information if required to comply with law or protect users.
Children’s Privacy
Brain TuneUp is intended for users age 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Data Retention & Deletion
Because the app is local-first, most gameplay and progress data stays on your device until you remove the app data, reinstall the app, or use any in-app reset option that may be provided in development builds. Subscription state may also be cached locally for app behavior, while the underlying purchase records remain with Apple or Google according to their policies.
Your Choices
- Use the app without creating an account.
- Subscribe to Pro to remove ads and unlock Pro-only features.
- Restore purchases through the platform store if needed.
- Clear local app data by removing the app or using any available reset/debug option.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards for local storage and third-party service integrations. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date when changes are made.
